I'm starting to feel a little bit concerned with the ambitions of Venezuela?
Well as a break from domestic issues, I read that Venezuela has formally recognized the two rebel break-away states in Georgia in addition to making a very large purchase of Russian-made main battle tanks. This on top with trying to build an international bank with the Russians (it would be based on the Ruble), purchasing rights of some Kalashnikov weapons (so they can start to build some in Venezuela), and the invitation for Tu-160 ‘Blackjacks’ (the world’s most lethal bomber) to based in Venezuela. It just seems that they are so driven to establish a base of power and so determined to break up our empire (yeah sorry we do kind of have an empire) that it seems a little bit concerning to me. Even though the cold war is over I still do not trust the Russian’s as long as Putin is in power making quotes like this: "Who ever does not miss the Soviet Union has no brain, who ever does not love the Soviet Union has no heart" (or something very similar to that, I’m trying to recall that quote from Call of Duty 4). Anyhow post all of your thoughts.
Do NOT write: I’m more concerned about death panels, our president, Wal-Mart, get off the cool aid or something of that nature because that is all I would hear. Just try to state how you feel about Venezuela expansion of power and their alliance with Russia. If you disagree don’t be an A$$ HOLE!

All that along with Chavez taking control of the media, manufacturing and resources in Venezuela is beginning to be very troubling.
If I were his neighbors, I would seriously begin to question what he is aiming for. We all know he will attempt something in Columbia since they favor the US, but his military build-up does not bode well for the region.

Wow. An American in America, the most powerful nation on Earth is afraid of little Venezuela. Yes, afraid of Venezuela.
Wow, just sad. How cowardly.
Who cares if they like us or not? We did try to orchestrate a coup in 2002 – 2003 down there so there’s very good reason for them to hate us.
Neither Venezuela or Russia is going to to #$!#! to us.

Venezuela is a dangerous Country and is NOT our friend. They hate the West as much as any Mideast Country does. They need to be watched closely by the current Administration.
