Shakespeare in Love – DivX Version (Normal Quality), DVD (Good Quality), PDA Version
|
IMDB rating: 7.40 Plot: Romantic comedy set in London in the late 16th century: Young playwright William Shakespeare struggles with his latest work “Romeo and Ethel the Pirate’s Daughter”. A great fan of Shakespeare’s plays is young, wealthy Viola who is about to be married to the cold-hearted Lord Wessex, but constantly dreams of becoming an actress. Women were not allowed to act on stage at that time (female roles were played by men, too), but dressed up as a boy, Viola successfully auditions for the part of Romeo. Soon she and William are caught in a forbidden romance that provides rich inspiration for his play. |

Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare?
hi im writing a compare and contrast essay on the play much ado about nothing. this is my first time writing a compare and contrast essay so it’d be great if you could give me some feedback!
the question is: compare and contrast the two sets of lovers – beatrice and benedick with hero and claudio.
my thesis: Although these two couples are both united by getting help from their friends, they have different deepness and levels of loyalty in their relationships.
first body paragraph: the two couples are similar because they were put together by having them tricked. beatrice and benedick – tricked in thinking they are in love with each other. hero and claudio – when they met the first time, hero thought she was talking to claudio at the masked ball even though it was really don pedro
second body paragraph: the two couples have different deepness in their relationships. beatrice and benedick – long history together, know each other’s personalities very well. hero and claudio – love at first sight, mainly based on appearance rather than personality.
third body paragraph: beatrice and benedick have more loyalty than hero and claudio. beatrice and benedick – beatrice asks benedick to kill claudio, his good friend of many years to prove his love to her. benedick accepts. hero and claudio – claudio accuses hero right away that she slept with another man, very gullible.
Sorry its long, thanks for taking the time to read it
You have very well-defined thoughts, which is always a plus. I think if you develop the three ideas you have summarized here, you’ll be fine. I think you could also expand your thesis to include that the relationship between Beatrice and Benedick is more likely to be a steadfast and successful relationship in the long run for precisely the three reasons you have indicated.
Just one correction: use the word "depth," not "deepness."
Good luck!
